formative Speech
English 10
Donkersloot
Essay number 7 is an informative essay/speech. Your job is to brainstorm to come up with a stellar topic you want to share with the class. Then you will write an organized speech to teach us more about this topic. You must include an introduction, a thesis, and you must use examples to support your points. You should also include a works cited page and have at least five sources. Finally, you must have a conclusion that reviews what you’ve just told us about.
In class, we will brainstorm topics and practice body paragraphs. We will work on specific examples and write rough drafts. Finally, we will prepare visual aids to enhance the speeches. Then it is up to you to practice and perfect your speech.
This is due Friday, January 11. It will be marked down one grade every day it is late.
